China next Cause of World War ??

American experts and investors are closely watching political, military and economic developments in the South China Sea. Some observers are worried that China’s territorial claims and activities in the area could lead to a war. But other people disagree. This week, China and the United States exchanged strong words about Chinese efforts to build and develop islands in the South China Sea. Chinese crews have been creating airfields on what was, until recently, underwater land. A week ago, U.S. Secretary of Defense Ashton Carter criticized China’s actions. He accused Chinese officials of being “out of step” with international values. “There should be an immediate and lasting halt to land reclamation by all claimants. We also oppose any further militarization of disputed features. We all know there's no military solution to the South China Sea disputes.” He also made it clear that the U.S. would not recognize any Chinese attempt to declare a 22-kilometer territor...

Gunman Kills 9 in Munich Mall Shooting Rampage, Then Kills Self: Police A lone 18-year-old gunman is believed to have carried out a shooting rampage near a shopping center in Munich, Germany, killing at least nine people before later apparently killing himself, police said. The shooting attack at a McDonald's attached to the Olympia Einkaufszentrum shopping center at around 5:50 p.m. local time (11:50 a.m. ET) Friday led authorities to lock down the city. Public transportation was shut down and residents were warned to stay away from public places. "Careful all-clear," Munich police said on Twitter early Saturday. "As part of our manhunt we found one person that killed himself. With high probability it is the suspect, who — according to the present state of investigation — acted alone." Facebook activates Safety Check for Nice, France after truck rams into parade

Facebook has  activated  its Safety Check feature for Nice, France, after a truck rammed into a crowd in the city during a Bastille Day parade, killing and injuring dozens. The Safety Check feature lets users notify others on Facebook that they're safe following a dangerous event in the area, such as an earthquake, mass shooting or explosion. Facebook has activated the feature in different  situations  across the planet, from terrorist attacks in Paris that left 130  dead  in November to, recently, a mass shooting at a gay nightclub in Orlando, Florida, that left 49  dead .
